Wes Hill Provides Insight to Texas Lawbook’s Article on the Status of Patent Lawsuits Filed in Texas

The Texas Lawbook recently reported that the number of patent infringement lawsuits filed in the state is seeing a downward trend, with the East Texas docket declining the first six months of this year.

Firm Partner Wes Hill provided insight on the patent litigation trends in Texas. While the report states that new patent infringement cases have decreased, Hill says the number of cases filed in the Eastern District this year is similar to 2010.

“This allows the Eastern District to get back to its roots – allows cases to get to trial more quickly because the bad cases have been weeded out and the courts can focus on the good cases.”
