Ward, Smith & Hill Attorneys Named to 2018 Texas Rising Stars

LONGVIEW, Texas – The trial law firm Ward, Smith & Hill, PLLC, is pleased to announce that two of its attorneys have been named to this year’s Texas Rising Stars listing.

The honorees, recognized as among the brightest young lawyers in the state, will be featured in the April 2018 issues of Texas Monthly and Super Lawyers magazines.

Partner Claire Abernathy Henry and associate Andrea Fair were both recognized for their work in intellectual property litigation.

This is the seventh consecutive Rising Stars selection for Ms. Henry who represents clients in patent and commercial litigation cases in both state and federal courts. She also was selected among the Up-and-Coming 50 women attorneys and the Up-and-Coming 100 attorneys in Texas. Ms. Henry is a former briefing attorney for the firm’s T. John Ward when he served as U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Texas. A native of Longview, Ms. Henry graduated from Stanford Law School in 2005.

This is the second appearance on the prestigious listing for Ms. Fair, whose practice focuses on patent infringement and commercial disputes. She also handles construction disputes, insurance coverage and defense work. She is a 2011 high honors graduate of The University of Texas School of Law.

Each year, Texas Rising Stars recognizes the state’s top attorneys age 40 or younger, or who have been in law practice for less than 10 years. Selection is based on peer nominations and a rigorous editorial review by Super Lawyers.
