Two from Longview’s Ward & Smith Among Texas’ Top Young Attorneys

LONGVIEW, Texas – The Texas law firm Ward & Smith is proud to announce that Claire Abernathy Henry and Wesley Hill have been selected to the 2013 Texas Rising Stars listing of the top young attorneys in the state.

This marks Ms. Henry’s second selection based on her intellectual property litigation expertise. Mr. Hill earned his third selection based on his business litigation and intellectual property work. The complete 2013 Texas Rising Stars list appears in the April issues of Texas Monthly and Texas Rising Stars magazines.

Both annual lists are determined by Thomson Reuters’ legal division based on nominations from other lawyers across Texas and a review by the publication’s editors. Texas Rising Stars recognizes the state’s top lawyers under the age of 40 and those who have been practicing law for 10 years or less.

Ms. Henry represents clients in patent and commercial litigation before state and federal courts. A former briefing attorney at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, she earned her law degree at Stanford Law School in 2005 after securing an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in 2002.

Mr. Hill represents clients in a variety of intellectual property and commercial litigation cases, including those involving contract disputes, oil & gas claims and federal criminal matters. Chairman of the Eastern District of Texas Local Rules Committee, he frequently delivers presentations on practicing in the Eastern District. He is a 2001 graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law, and he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1998.
