LONGVIEW, Texas – Firm founder Johnny Ward and name partner Wesley Hill of Longview, Texas-based Ward, Smith & Hill, PLLC, have been named to the 2017 list of top attorneys in Texas by the publishers of Benchmark Litigation.
Benchmark named Mr. Ward a “Local Litigation Star” in the Intellectual Property practice area and Mr. Hill a “Future Star” in both the Intellectual Property and Energy/Natural Resources practice areas. Earlier this year, Benchmark honored Mr. Hill with a designation to its listing of top litigators under 40.

Benchmark Litigation bills itself as “the definitive guide to America’s leading litigation firms and attorneys” and is the only publication to focus exclusively on U.S. litigation.

This is just the latest honor for Mr. Ward, who is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named to the list of Texas Super Lawyers since its inception in Texas in 2003.
Mr. Hill is an ABOTA member as well, and is also AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating achievable. He has been named to the list of Texas Super Lawyers each year since 2011.
